Mike's musical interests began with playing drums as far back as he can remember. By age 11, his parents bought him a guitar and he began formal jazz studies with jazz guitarist Bill Johnson. From this point on he seriously immersed himself into music. In 1988 he opened his own recording studio, "Eyeball Studios" and began to produce demos for his original music and other local artists. To further his education and interest in music, Mike attended Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ studying jazz performance with such instructors as Perry Lopez, Al Stauffer, Denis DiBlasio and Joe Federico. In 1991, Mike received his Bachelor of Music degree. For the past few years, Mike has been freelancing with various artists and groups and performing in his own ensembles throughout the New Jersey/Philadelphia area. His versatility on the drums and guitar keeps him quite busy.
